Sandford Orcas Manor (pictured above) is reputedly one of England's most haunted houses, with no less than 14 apparitions. These include a Lady in Green found in the south bedroom; a Lady in Red Silk who frequents the staircase around 11:50am; a dog; a monk; a local countryman that committed suicide by hanging in the gatehouse; Sir Hubert Medlycott; an Elizabethan lady found in the courtyard; and disturbingly a 7 foot tall man who in life was a footman, but was apparently a rapist, and only appears to virgins. The sounds of a spinet have also been reported.
